Opening to 500 readers in November
Remember every book you have ever meant to finish
Lumo keeps your reading life in one calm place: what you are on, what is next, and the sentences you did not want to lose.
Free during the beta. iOS and web.
What it does
A shelf that remembers for you
Three small ideas, done carefully.
Highlights that find their way back
Photograph a page and Lumo keeps the sentence, the book and the date. Search them years later.
A pace, not a streak
See how you actually read, without guilt.
Lend and borrow
Know who has your copy of Piranesi.
Ask your shelf
"What was that book about the lighthouse?" Lumo finds the book, the page and the sentence, and keeps your library private by default.
How it works
From book to remembered in a minute
Nothing to set up, nothing to learn.
Add what you are reading
Scan the barcode or type the title. Lumo fills in the rest.
Save the sentences that matter
Point your camera at a page and tap. The text is saved, not just the photo.
Ask for them later
Search in your own words and Lumo finds the page.
I have kept a reading diary for twenty years and Lumo is the first thing that feels like it was built by someone who has one.
The waitlist
Be one of the first 500

Still curious? Write to hello@lumo.example.
When can I get in?
We open to the first 500 in November and add about a hundred a week after that.
Will it be free?
The beta is free. When we charge, it will be a small yearly price, and everything you saved stays yours either way.
Is Android coming?
The web version works on Android today. A native app is next year.
Can I import from another app?
Yes, from Goodreads and a plain CSV. Highlights from e-readers come in December.
Who can see my library?
Only you. There is no public profile and nothing is shared unless you send it.
